15:00 – 16:15: “Article 6 in Focus: How Do We Move Forward?”

The breakdown of negotiations at COP28 over Article 6 guidance left many eager to see progress. While COP28 yielded no definitive outcome, progress on bilateral agreements signalled continued optimism. This year, can COP29 reverse the tide? Where did COP28 leave us, and has there been progress on Article 6 since then? How can Article 6 co-exist with or even strengthen, the voluntary carbon market?
