Accelerating a Europe-wide CO2 storage market

As Europe seeks to bolster its leadership in sustainable industries, developing an integrated CO₂ storage market becomes essential. Facilitating a cross-border CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure through pipelines and shipping can unlock efficiencies, reduce CO₂ storage costs, and make decarbonization solutions more accessible across the EU, EEA and the UK.

This event – in partnership with The Parliament Magazine – will explore the economic and environmental benefits derived from the inclusion of the UK in a connected Europe-wide CO₂ storage market and the key steps needed to align CO₂ storage across borders. The CCSA will present the report ‘Accelerating a Europe-wide CO₂ storage market’ where the economic benefits of creating a Europe-wide CO₂ storage market have been assessed. The study was conducted by several CCSA members with the support of Xodus Group.
