The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is delighted to invite you to a webinar to launch a new report, written by Xodus, on CCUS opportunities in the APAC region for UK suppliers.
The webinar is hosted by the Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA), in partnership with DBT. Participants will hear from a number of speakers, including Xodus’ Head of Advisory for APAC, Andrew Taylor, on how UK companies can access key opportunities in the region out to 2035.
The nearer-term opportunity alone, out to 2030, could be worth up to £17bn to UK companies.
APAC is critical for global decarbonisation, accounting for more than half of global CO₂ emissions. CCUS is essential to emissions reduction across the region, from Japan, Korea and Taiwan, where the initial focus is expected to be on capture, local storage and CO₂ export, to South-east Asia and Australia, where abundant prospective geological storage capacity exists and plans for regional hubs have begun to emerge.
DBT colleagues will also outline a series of CCUS activities in the region later this year, which aim to build connections for UK companies with public and private sector stakeholders in the region.
We look forward to welcoming you to this webinar.
Please note: This session is 1 hour long.
