There are around 45 commercial facilities using CCUS in industrial processes. To meet global climate goals, CO₂ capture needs to increase twentyfold by 2030, according to the IEA. This creates high expectations for breakthroughs in new CCUS projects that can accelerate near-term market growth and widespread adoption.  However, significant challenges remain. These include high capital investment requirements, limited policy incentives, and uncertainty around regulation and carbon pricing. Overcoming these barriers is crucial for the continued development and large-scale deployment of CCUS technologies. How can stakeholders across the CCUS value chain work together to maximise commercial returns and unlock its full decarbonisation potential?
