CCUS can help the Burnham Government deliver growth

Today, centre-right think tank Onward published Firm Foundations: The case for cheap and reliable power, alongside analysis by Transira Energy.

Launching the report, Shadow Energy Secretary Claire Coutinho challenged the Government’s approach to net zero and energy policy, calling for a greater emphasis on affordability, reliability and consumer choice.

In response to the Onward report, Mark Sommerfeld, UK Director at the CCSA, said:

“Cutting emissions and keeping energy affordable can go hand in hand. Energy-intensive businesses need access to affordable, reliable and low-carbon energy if they are going to invest, grow and remain operational in the UK.
