The UK Non-Pipeline Transport (NPT) Working Group brings together stakeholders across the CCUS value chain to address key technical, regulatory, commercial, and policy issues related to CO₂ transport via ship, rail and road. The Group shares expertise, insights, and evidence to support the development of a safe, efficient, and investable NPT projects, informing the market structures that will enable them to inject into CO₂ stores.
The Group disseminates information and materials to raise awareness of CO₂ NPT developments and inform market developments. This includes cross-border CO₂ transport, coordination with the EU carbon market,...
Objectives
Identify and address technical, regulatory, and commercial challenges to streamline the UK CO₂ NPT landscape.- Develop coordinated industry positions and guidance to inform policy, consultations, and regulatory frameworks.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and knowledge sharing with government, regulators, and the wider CCUS community.
