Subsea7 is a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry. Subsea7 makes offshore energy transition possible through the continuous evolution of lower-carbon oil and gas and by enabling the growth of renewables and emerging energy.
Subsea7 provides project management, engineering and construction expertise across the full energy lifecycle. These services are delivered to clients across the energy landscape, including lower-carbon oil, gas, offshore wind (fixed and floating) and emerging energies.
More than ever before, operators are seeking innovative, creative and reliable solutions to overcome the complexities facing today’s industry. Our unrivalled experience in delivering energy projects, coupled with a unique approach of early engagement and system innovation, collaboration and partnerships, integrated services, sustainable delivery, digital solutions and enabling-products, brings value across the full energy lifecycle.
At Subsea7 we are committed to supporting emerging offshore energy streams. The growth of offshore carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) is essential in order to drive transition and meet the global need for more sustainable energy.
In 2021, Subsea7 was awarded a contract by Equinor to participate in its pioneering Northern Lights project. The Northern Lights project is part of the Norwegian full-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) project “Langskip” (Longship). The Northern Lights project comprises transportation, receipt and permanent storage of CO2 in a reservoir in the northern North Sea. The CO2 receiving terminal will be located in the municipality of Øygarden in Western Norway. Subsea7’s scope includes engineering, fabrication and installation of a 100km CO2 pipeline that will run from Øygarden to the CO2 storage complex.
