“Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (“MOL”), established in 1884 and headquartered in Tokyo, is one of the world’s leading ocean shipping companies, operating about 800 vessels worldwide. MOL’s fleet includes dry bulkers, tankers, car carriers, and largest fleet of LNG carriers’ globally.
MOL have set 2050 net-zero target in our BLUE ACTION 2035 business plan, which integrates our business goals to address sustainability issues. We are focused on deploying energy efficiencies, building dual-fuel vessels, investing in clean energy infrastructure, offshore wind power and digitalising the business.
We believe LCO2 carriers will play an important role in the CCUS value chain by efficiently connecting captured and LCO2 to storage areas especially at the early stages to meet the 2030 & 2050 climate goals. Involvement in this CCUS value chain is a key aspect within our BLUE ACTION strategy, and directly contributes to MOL’s ambition to expand our low-carbon/decarbonised business through leveraging the group’s collective strengths.
These member only online events feature presentations by members and offer the opportunity for members to showcase their company and activities to the wider CCSA membership, as well as providing a forum for networking.
